When you say the transmission is pumping gear lub do you mean it is coming 
out under pressure?  As if it were the overdrive pump leaking.  Do you have 
overdrive and if so what model?  The A-type has a pressure plug at the top that 
could be leaking if the gasket (or copper washer) has been compromised in any 
way.
