Sounds like you are running way lean. have you had your carbs adjusted
lately? It's possible that the needle has become detached from the adjuster. That
happened to me with similar symptoms. If you are a do-it-yourselfer take the
top off of a carb and pull out the piston. Using a mixture adjusting tool
rotate the adjuster clockwise and see if the needle retracts into the piston.
If not apply pressure to the needle base assembly to reengage the threads. Do
the same for the other carb.
Then set the adjuster to bring the needle base flush with the bottom of the
piston as a starting point.
