Hello all,

Website Talk.

It looks like the one Holiday party I miss, in what eight years;
turned out to be a great time. We unfortunately had family commitments
this year. So if anyone took pictures please let me know so I can post
them on the website. I can take them digitally or scan them if you can
spare the pictures for a week or two.

Now this all leads up to the next item on my list, the 2008 Events
Calendar. It is empty... I am working on it now and plan to have it
done this weekend. If anyone has anything that needs added to it let
me know, any corrections you may see also let me know. Like Chris (my
wife) always reminds me, I don't know it all...

Also I have a "calendar" program I would like to present to the
members, with a password we can let officers and others access it and
place events there. Anyone from the public can view it but cannot edit
it without the password.

Here is a link to one that I placed on another website at
http://www.fatpocketfunk.com/, choose the Calendar tab to the left.
Please look at this and let me know your thoughts.

If there is interest I will install one like it on SLTOA, I do not
expect it to replace the current static Events page but it would allow
folks to put up impromptu calendar events at their leisure. Arlie
could put up the TR Garage itinerary and such, it is just a thought I
had as I was doing the work for the fatpocketfunk guys (great band by
the way if you need one for any occasion). There is also no cost
involved at all with the calendar just to answer that question up
front, I just need to go-ahead and I will go ahead and get it done.

Members Pages - Every year I say this, actually every meeting I attend
I say this?. Members Pages are available for all current members,
using this one (http://www.sltoa.org/members/allgood/default.htm) as a
guide send me via email your Name, TR Specifics of the Year, Model,
Commission number and any other information you would like to give
about your TR. You need not put a picture up right away, we can do
that later, and if I see your car at a meeting I will snap a picture
myself.

Ok now, so there I was last week going through my US Mail, and what do
I find? A package from our esteemed President Craig Masden, who is up
for re-election and I hear has scared off all the competition.. Anyway
I open the package and find a very nice plaque from the club, much
appreciated folks it means a lot. As far as I am concerned though the
two Craigs/Creigs do all the hard work, as well as Cathy, Chris
Kresser, John for keeping Craig in line and in TR7 parts, Matt for
keeping the notes on our highly structured meetings and our fine
treasurer Bonnie for keeping us all in the black. So my hat is off to
them and a pint on me the next time we make a meeting.

Gary
